Frequently asked questions.

What conditions do acupuncture and Chinese Herbs treat?

Chinese medicine is a holistic system and as such, we can address any health concerns you have during our treatments. While I often treat acute and chronic conditions, Chinese medicine is also excellent for preventative care. -Chronic or acute pain syndromes
-Neurological disorders, including stroke rehabilitation
-IBS, gastritis, and other digestive disorders
-Colds, flus, ear infections, and asthma
-Infertility, pre- and post-natal care
-PMS, menstrual irregularities, and other gynecological care
-Depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns or illnesses
-Chronic fatigue and stress reduction
-High and low blood pressure
-Kidney and gall stones
-Support for other chronic illnesses

What can I expect during my appointment?

Our initial appointment will last approximately 1.5-2 hours. I will perform a pulse diagnosis as well as a comprehensive intake regarding your current health concerns, health history, and family history.

Subsequent treatments will be approximately 50 min -1 hour in length.

Please come to your appointment well hydrated and having eaten something 1-2 hours ahead of time. Acupuncture works best when the body is well nourished.

Please wear comfortable clothes that can be rolled up to the elbow or knee. Some treatments may require removal of clothing; if this is the case, a sheet or gown will be provided for modesty and comfort.

Do you take insurance?

No; payment is required in full at the end of your session. I am always happy to provide an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that I cannot guarantee reimbursement. It is your responsibility to know and understand your individual policy's coverage.

I do accept FSA and HSA cards.
