What conditions do acupuncture and Chinese Herbs treat?

Chinese medicine is a holistic system and as such, we can address any health concerns you have during our treatments. While I often treat acute and chronic conditions, Chinese medicine is also excellent for preventative care. Below are some examples of health issues that can be treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs; however, is is a far from comprehensive list. What can I expect during my appointment?

Our initial appointment will last approximately 1.5-2 hours. I will perform a pulse diagnosis as well as a comprehensive intake regarding your current health concerns, health history, and family history.
 
Subsequent treatments will be approximately 50 min -1 hour in length.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please come to your appointment well hydrated and having eaten something 1-2 hours ahead of time. Acupuncture works best when the body is well nourished.
 
Please wear comfortable clothes that can be rolled up to the elbow or knee. Occasionally a treatments may require the removal of clothing; if this is the case, a sheet will be provided.

Do you take insurance?

No; payment is required in full at the end of your session. I am always happy to provide an itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that I cannot guarantee reimbursement. It is your responsibility to know and understand your individual policy's coverage.
